Every kitchen needs a few good pot holders, so why not make them yourself? And while your at it...make them nerdy! These pot holders are easy to make and are machine washable. You can use our printable pattern (coming soon) or draw your own!
Supplies:
Fabric - Cotton and fleece
Matching colored thread
Sewing basics
Printable pattern (coming soon)
Directions:
1. Use pattern to cut out pieces
- 2 pieces of cotton for exterior
- 1 piece of fleece for interior
- use fleece for any additional detailing pieces
2. Sew detailing pieces onto front of fabric
3. Layer main pieces with right sides together including interior fleece
4. Sew up around the perimeter leaving about a 2 inch opening
5. Turn fabric right side out through the gap making sure the fleece fabric stays on the inside.
6. Top stitch around the entire edge to close off
- You can also just hand stitch the gap closed

Please be careful when pulling hot items out of your oven, toaster oven, and/or microwave.
These pot holders are meant to be used with smaller items.
